As a manufacturer of device networking, media conversion, and Internet of Things (IoT) connectivity hardware, we recognize the importance of security and take all issues very seriously. To earn and maintain the trust of our customers we are committed to to resolving and communicating reported security vulnerabilities in a timely manner.

Perle's approach to security and vulnerability disclosure

With certifications and compliance Perle has developed a security framework based around the use of best practices, guidelines, and processes that are incorporated into the engineering design and testing process. In the design process, we take a systematic security approach that encompasses design, software, and physical attributes to make security part of the product lifecycle. Our lab tests our products in a variety of ways, including vulnerability analysis and penetration testing. Our product and engineering teams regularly collaborate on key security issues. We also involve our customers and partners in the process to ensure a real-life approach that tests security within actual deployment environments.

Perle will attempt to resolve any relevant and fixable Critical vulnerability within 45 days and any relevant fixable High-Level vulnerability within 60 days of discovering it or having it reported to us through a product software update.

Discontinued products are covered under the terms of the Perle Product Warranty as specified here. Perle will offer technical support and software updates on discontinued products for two years from the date of manufacture.
