Perle Systems Expands IOLAN SDSX T Line to Include More Port Variants
IOLAN SDS T Line Operates in Extreme Temperatures
NASHVILLE, TN - September 7, 2006 — Perle Systems, a global developer and manufacturer of serial to Ethernet connectivity and networking management products today announced the release of two more models of the IOLAN SDS T line. The IOLAN SDS T models address the need for connecting remote serial devices that operate in extreme temperatures to an enterprise IP network. On the heals of a recent launch of the IOLAN SDS1 T, which was Perle’s initial extended temperature device server, Perle has launched the IOLAN SDS2 T and IOLAN SDS4 T. The IOLAN SDS2 T and SDS4 T operate in industrial grade temperatures, the parameters of which are -40F to +165F (-40C to +74C).
Serial based equipment found with traffic management, oil and gas pipelines, weather tracking and other remote applications are often subjected to harsh environments and severe temperatures. Standard commercial grade products will not suffice in these cases.
