Perle Systems Announces Speed LE and Speed LE Express Serial Card
Perle releases a line of serial cards geared to the Competitive Windows and Linux serial card market
NASHVILLE, TN - May 15, 2007 — Perle Systems, the global developer and manufacturer of serial to Ethernet connectivity solutions announced today the availability of a serial card designed specifically to compete in the price sensitive Windows and Linux serial card market. The Speed LE and Speed LE Express serial cards meet the new slot PCI standards that have been adopted by PC server manufacturers making them ideal for newer servers from Dell, IBM and HP.

The Speed LE serial card supports Universal 3.3v/5v PCI/PCI-X slots while the Speed LE Express provides PCI Express (PCIe) bus slot support. These serial cards are available in standard and low profile form factors, include full support, Windows Vista certification and feature Perle’s renowned reliability and high speed.
The cards, with a range of 1, 2, 4, or 8 independent RS232 serial ports, are available immediately.
