IOLAN FIPS 140-2 Compliant Firmware
To protect sensitive data within network infrastructures, the Computer Security Division of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) established the Cryptographic Module Validation Program (CMVP). This program validates cryptographic modules to Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS).
Software modules validated as conforming to FIPS 140-2 are accepted by Federal Agencies for the protection of sensitive information. FIPS 140-2 is required for the sale of products implementing cryptography to the US or Canadian Federal Government.
